Position: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Eligibility Criteria for RedBus Recruitment 2022:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field with 1 to 3 years total experience
• 1to 3 Years Must have prior experience working as a Software Development Engineer or Test Automation Engineer for 1 to 3 years.

Job Description:

• Creating test plan / writing test cases based on PRD or Requirements document
• Giving right estimates / timelines for execution
• Analysing and communicating test results, defect tracking (creating / updating a defect with steps to reproduce, expected result & actual result)
• Attending daily scrums
• Automating the new features or enhancing existing automated test cases, running automation and / or performance / scalability tests for various features.

Skills:

• Must have prior experience working as a Software Development Engineer or Test Automation Engineer for 1 to 3 years.
• Should have working experience with projects in Java Specially REST API automation / REST Assured, Mobile Automation using Appium & Web Automation using Selenium. Working experience in REST API Automation or Appium is mandatory.
• Should have working experience on using any of the automation tools like REST Assured, Appium using Java
• Should have experience in using any test framework like TestNG or Junit.
• Working knowledge on Mobile Automation Frameworks like Appium / Expresso / XCUITest or any similar tool
• Experience on performing API, Web and App functional, regression and backward compatibility testing.
• Good experience on agile methodology and bug tracking tools – Jira.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyse quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize tasks
• Should have good exposure on systems logging, debugging and finding RCA for bugs.
